Primary Arms Opens Preorders For PLxC 1-8×24 NOVA SFP
The PLxC 1-8×24 from Primary Arms is one of the top dogs in the current Low Power Variable Optic (LPVO) arms race. Another reticle option is coming soon to further broaden its appeal. Let’s check out this new NOVA reticle model.
Primary Arms @ TFB:
The PLxC 1-8×24 is known for its Japanese glass, and its ability to work well at both the top and bottom ends of its magnification range. It is also known for having a rather busy ACSS reticle. While that reticle does provide a lot of information to the shooter, it is more disruptive than some people would like.
Enter the NOVA reticle. This simplified design has ballistic drop compensating hash marks designed to line up at hundred-yard increments with standard calibers. It also has a super bright center illuminated dot that is still visible no matter how bright the environment is. The NOVA reticle is in the second focal plane, unlike the first focal plane ACSS reticle.
Primary Arms says that the new NOVA PLxC is expected to ship in early July. They are accepting pre-orders now with a retail price of $1,499 for both black and flat dark earth versions.
