Custom Integral Maker Brings New Folder to WE Knife Co.

We Knife Co. has brought on another first-time collaborator for an upcoming release. The premium Attor folder will be the first We Knife branded design from Croatian custom maker Dalibor Bergam, and it comes with all the fixings.

Even if Bergam’s custom knives weren’t integral folders wrought in top-tier materials like zirconium, custom damascus, and pieces of meteorite, they would still make an impression with their profiles alone. Bergam’s designs are playful and bold, and always star blade profiles that stand out from the usual, easily definable archetypes with their playful mix of characteristics from different sectors, styles, and eras of knife making.

The flamed handle version certainly makes an impression

The Attor does Bergam’s custom legacy proud across the board, but it all starts with the blade. We’re going to call this one a trailing point, but if you look closely you’ll see that there’s also a hint of tanto in the transition zone from main edge to the tip. We always wonder how many of these high-end We pieces are put into use but, for anybody who so inclined, the Attor’s 3.55-inch cutting edge has all the necessary length for everyday carry and, perhaps, even some hard use. Rendered in CPM-20CV (save for the requisite damasteel option), it brings the performance specs, too.

As befits a high-end Bergam collaboration piece, the Attor features integral construction, with the entire handle fashioned from a single, solid piece of titanium. It will be rolling out in several variations, each with their own cosmetic differences, including things like flamed titanium scales and golden titanium inlays, to subdued monochrome options. All Attor models have a steel insert-capped frame lock, with an overtravel stop built into the pivot collar – a pretty nice touch. The flowing, ribbonlike pocket clip is made from sculpted titanium, and in total the Attor weighs 4.75 oz.

This one is coming soon, but there is no official release date yet.
