Canadian Ruler Has Resigned
Canadian ruler, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has officially resigned. But not to worry. Canada will still be ruled over. Trudeau has said that he commanded the president of the Liberal Party to initiate the process of choosing a new ruler.
Trudeau is resigning as both the liberal party leader and prime minister once a replacement for him is selected. He cited “internal battles” within Canada’s ruling Liberal Party that have made it impossible for him to move forward into the next election. A general election must be held on or before October 20th of this year.
“This country deserves a real choice in the next election, and it has become clear to me that if I am having to fight internal battles I cannot be the best option in that election,” Trudeau stated, according to a report by RT.

In addition to demanding a new master be chosen, Trudeau also requested a prorogation of Parliament, temporarily suspending all parliamentary activities, including debates and votes until March 24th. Most lawmakers in the ruling class are currently on a scheduled holiday break and are set to resume on January 27th.
Trudeau, who is the son of a former Canadian prime minister, came into power in 2015 and led the Liberals to two further victories in 2019 and 2021.
Most recently, he has been working to avoid a trade war with the United States and President-elect Donald Trump. Trump has vowed a 25% tariff on Canadian goods as punishment for the Northern neighbor’s participation in the illegal immigration debacle in the U.S.
