Buying American: Ammunition, Guns, and Accessories
There are several things we find to be of great importance at Sporting Systems gun shop in Vancouver, Washington. Here are five of them.
First, it’s our customers, without whom we wouldn’t be in business.
Second, it’s the customer service we provide, which keeps those same customers (plus lots of new ones, thanks to word of mouth) coming back to us time and time again.
Third, is our advocacy for both protecting and advocating for the Second Amendment rights of our customers.
Next, is the knowledge we impart regarding firearm safety, proper storage, and use of the firearms we sell to those customers.
And finally, it’s a focus on keeping the money we and our customers spend right here in the United States. With this final item in mind, we encourage everybody to buy American — whether it’s guns, ammunition, gun accessories, or something totally unrelated to firearms altogether.
We thought we’d discuss buying American for a few moments. This piece was inspired by something we wrote and posted on our Facebook page over the holidays in 2020. (Come say hi — and be sure to give us a follow!)
The Facebook piece focuses on one of our fellow Pacific Northwest businesses, NW Modern VIntage, but it applies equally to all local businesses who need our support.
We like to encourage buying American and buying local for several reasons:
- It keeps our economy humming by keeping our money local
- It helps fosters innovation
- It inspires others to open businesses and to continue buying American
- It generates jobs
Of course, many of our most cherished and well-regarded firearms come from American companies: Ruger, Smith & Wesson, and Remington just to name three.
Stop by Sporting Systems today and ask us what we’re doing to support American businesses. Let’s all do our part to keep the local economy moving. It’s more important than ever now that we’re beginning to emerge from the stress and challenges caused by the COVID pandemic.
