Springfield Armory debuted their Hellcat pistol as the “world’s highest capacity, micro-compact” several years ago, and they have been building out that family of pistols ever since. This includes their Hellcat RDP (Rapid Defense Package), Hellcat Pro (longer barrel, longer grip), and OSP variants (“Optical Sight Pistol” – optics ready). Now, they have announced the most feature-rich iteration yet with the unveiling of the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP.

The Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro Comp OSP 9mm is oozing with features we have come to know from previous versions of Hellcats, but this model has the unique feature of an integrally compensated barrel and a ported or cut slide to house it. Geneseo, Illinois – June 4th, 2024 – Springfield Armory® is proud to announce the launch of the Hellcat® Pro Comp OSP™ 9mm pistol. Integrally compensated to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise, the Hellcat® Pro Comp is meticulously engineered to offer the perfect balance between concealability and capacity.
The integral compensator featured on the Hellcat Pro Comp is discreetly designed with a single port on the top of the hammer-forged slide and barrel. Redirecting gas upwards, it effectively reduces muzzle rise and enhances control. The result is a pistol that delivers faster and more accurate follow-up shots. In addition, the front sight is positioned behind the compensator for an uninterrupted sight picture.
